It’s no secret, I LOVE Halloween! I love the spooky ooky creepy crawly Halloween and the super cutesie Halloween and everything in between. For this month’s Papercraft Business Challenge #23 – Tag You’re It, I decided to create a not so spooky Halloween tag using some new Stampin’ Up products I just received, along with some products I already had in my stash. I immediately fell in love with the new Monster Bash suite from Stampin’ Up, so I just knew I had to use it for this tag, but I’m an equal opportunity crafter, I use and love it all, and this tag definitely showcases that.
I love being a part of the Papercraft Business Design Team, as it really makes me think outside the box! This tag would be perfect for using on the front of a card, tied to a spooky gift, or for tying on a wine bottle treat for your BFF.
I started with a black craft tag and snipped about 1/4″ off the bottom so it wouldn’t overhang my embossing folder, and ran it through my die cut machine using the stylish scroll embossing folder . I affixed two different patterns of Monster Bash DSP and covered the seam where they met with the scallop edge ribbon from the Monster Bash suite. I die cut an ornate frame out of pumpkin pie cardstock and a white centerpiece using a die from the same set. I then stamped the sentiment using the spooktacular bash stamp and glued them together. I popped this up using foam dimensions over the black ribbon. I used a spiderweb die cut for the corner of the web and affixed some dusky purple flowers, black rhinestones and a spooky sparkly spider (everything is better with glitter!). The skeleton die cut is from this month’s Stampin’ Up Paper Pumpkin kit. I tied the top with some retired Stampin Up yarns I had in my stash. (circa 2003 so it’s time I used them up!)
