Helloooo crafty friends! I feel like it’s been a while since I’ve blogged (apparently my resolution to blog better didn’t even make it through January!), but what better come back than to blog about the Papercraft Business Challenge #26? Hop on over to the website and join us with your entry, we’d be so excited to have you! The theme this month is Love/Valentine’s. Get out your pinks and reds and hearts and love and all the things, and play with us!
I created this card using a natural flecked ivory base, some vintage style papers and a beautiful rubber stamp that features the top of a box of Valentine’s Candy. I’ve adorned this one of a kind card with beautiful flowers, pearl hearts, and bits of lace. After Valentine’s day, this card could be framed and displayed in a Valentine’s vignette for years to come.
Some of these items have been in my crafty stash for YEARS, never even opened, so I decided to dig really deep and use what I have instead of purchasing new. The pending purchase of a new (albeit smaller) house has been causing me to rethink my purchasing ways – I’m trying to use up what I have so I don’t have to move so much! Some of these items I am unsure where I purchased them.
Materials Needed:
Valentine Candy Box Stamp – Inkadinkadoo
Natural Ivory Cardstock
Vintage Valentine Paper – The Paper Studio – Hobby Lobby
Paper Flowers – The Paper Studio – Hobby Lobby
Ivory Lace – Offray – Hobby Lobby
Oh Diann! I love the vintage feel of your card! And I am trying to do the same as you — there’s a lot of stuff in my stash that I need to dig out and give it some love. Hope to see a lot more of your wonderful designs in the near future
